The Broadcast Search

window will open and

display the Model, IP

Address, MAC

Address, and Progress

(of the search for that

particular device).

When the search is

complete, the Broadcast

Search window closes,

and the NPorts that

were located are

displayed in the left

pane of the

Configurator window.

Click on a server name in the left pane to display key information related to that

server in the right pane.

Search by IP Address

The Search by IP

Address function is

used to locate a

particular NPort,

regardless of whether

or not the server is connected to your LAN. If both your PC and the NPort that

you are trying to locate have access to the same LAN, WAN, or even to the

Internet, you should be able to use Search by IP Address to locate the NPort.

opens, enter the IP

Address of the NPort

you wish to locate, and

then click OK.
